I welcome you all to my first official post on Blogger! Here on A KPopAnimeFanatic, I will focus mainly on K-dramas and their actors and actresses, but posts on other sorts of media are possible depending on whether they capture my attention. K-dramas have always fascinated me in their charming way of mesmerizing me into their captivating plots, and it would be fun to share my thoughts on a few as well as engage in active discussion with other K-drama bloggers. Maybe in the future this blog will grow into a recapping site. Who knows? Well, hope to share a good time with you guys!
I am very fond of the idea of contemporary American music spreading so far as to reach even Eastern Asia, where its catchy style of pop music has already captured the attention of millions of fans. As a result, the relatively new creations of K-Pop, J-Pop, C-Pop, M-Pop, and T-Pop have arisen. The funny thing is, most addicted/defensive fangirls do not realize that the relatively new "Asian Pop" originates from the one and only United States of America (as stated beforehand), providing as the reason why I frequently go on blogs of indifferent people expressing their thoughts on the category. Still, as much as the subject can annoy me, it sparks my interest, as well. I'll admit it: My mother used to love K-Pop more than I did, but back then, I didn't necessarily know what it really was. I'd just assume that I hated the song if it was sung by an "old Korean man," but I was awfully young back then. Now I know more than I ever did about K-Pop, and I'm fully willing to share my genuine thoughts pertaining to it. The generation of K-Pop has led me towards following several other Asian music genres. Therefore, on this blog you will frequently see posts of appraisement, ranking, and rave/rant about such topics.
Next, I would like to discuss with you my absolute love, feel, and soul for K-Dramas. J-Dramas, C-Dramas, M-Dramas, & T-Dramas I also watch, but my main priority is none other than what I have written in the previous sentence. Due to my introverted character, I often spend my free time watching devastating, yet heartfelt and emotional melodramas that coerce me in the moment: an escape from reality. Usually, my standards are set pretty high. Romantic comedies are fine (I love comedy), but I think it that something relating to (or is) a melodrama requires deeper thought, perspective, and observation to actually conjure up a satisfactory storyline. Talented actors and good camera shots are also important areas of consideration. To force my iron heart to open its metal doors implores tragedies in the characters' pasts and hidden insight/foreshadowing throughout several scenes to reveal the true talent of the scriptwriter. As you can see from all that I have just constructed within this paragraph, I am going to use quite a bit of my blog space to present my deep affection and connection for/with K-Dramas. I love happy endings, but what's better is how enthralling the drama was to watch. Was it aesthetically pleasing? Was it emotionally compelling?
Another hobby of mine is reading Manga/light novels and watching Anime. (Pertaining to Anime: I, personally, prefer the English Sub instead of the English Dub, and am hoping that all of you newcomers will agree.) The exhilaration that fills every page-turning moment leads me to the next, and it's exciting to engage in a new practice of turning the page in the opposite direction compared to normal books. What compels me to read a certain Manga/light novel or watch a certain Anime depends on the genre. Angst, mystery, adventure, and comedy are some categories that tend to appeal to me quite easily. Yes; I feel a strong contrast from Manga/light novels/Anime and Modern Asian Pop; Mangas/light novels/Animes attract me as soap operas (dramas), which I have an awful lot more sympathy for compared to the surreal tactics of fangirls in the Asian Music Wave. I will take your requests and try any new ones that I have not seen before, occasionally creating posts for individual characters from that specific Manga/light novel/Anime if it truly does capture my eyes and emotions in the moment. As of now, I am watching Anime listed with titles containing symbols or numbers, and am reading no Manga or light novel in particular.
Finally, I would like to explain to you my picky love for fan fiction. I tend to ignore the poorly written, but receive an urge of desire once my eyes feast upon a good catch. It's certainly stressful for the author, but it helps them to further improve their writing, no? (Please say yes.) As for me, I've given up on writing since last year. I have fallen into the dreaded trap of gathering many ideas and starting a new story every time another idea erupts, ultimately leading to my (indefinite) writer's block. So, in this case, ignore my writing and go on my favorite and most visited site of all time: AsianFanFics. Although many writers are young foreigners and therefore new to the nature of writing and English, there concurrently exist several well-known and well-composed works written by authors that you can find under the "Popular Authors" category. Often, I will commit the action of "fangirling" and bring a favorite story of mine to life as I continuously praise the author throughout the majority of the post. Yes; that implies that you observers are encouraged to read it, too. Share your opinions and begin open discussions. Every opinion differs by person and their experiences; just look at Stephen King. There will always be controversy to whether a famous work is "good" or "bad," simply because people have separate thoughts on ways of expression and description (in spite of the basic foundations of writing). Though discrepancy is inevitable, your opinions will often count towards how the fan fiction author will make their next move to improve, so I advise that you provide lengthy descriptions on your thoughts, praise, and ways for the person to make their writing even more impressive. I love the talented writers of AsianFanFics so dearly that I'm not surprised if their stories comprise the majority of my blog posts.
For now, that is all I have to offer, but hopefully, this provided as a thorough introduction to what's coming in store for you! The easiest way to contact me is through my AsianFanFics account under the same username: KPopAnimeFanatic. Thank you, and let's meet each other again very soon!
